Another week, another star! (Well actually we have 25 of them in P1!) This week Aria received her star award for fantastic teamwork. Great to see evidence of another of our school values in P1 👍😊 Well done Aria keep up the great work!

On Tuesday 17th December we have another parent visitor coming in to speak to us about their job. Please can the children bring a teddy to school this day as they will be learning about CPR. Thank you

A big well done to Isabella who is P1’s Star of the Week for excellent listening throughout our Christmas Show rehearsals this week and great effort with all the practising!

This week we have had lots of visits from parents to tell us all about their jobs. We’ve had a policeman, nurses, a scientist and an engineer! We were learning all about St. Andrew’s Day in P1 today. We listened to some bagpipes music and enjoyed a little bit of Scottish dancing! We then coloured in Saltires and designed our own tartan.

The children have really enjoyed their tennis sessions with Lizzy from Bellfield Tennis Club over the last three weeks. Last week we played a game ‘Switch’ to improve our coordination, speed and ball control – it was lots of fun and Lizzy was very impressed with how well we listened to and followed the instructions. …

So Santa heard we have been talking about kindness in P1 and this morning we were very excited to receive a letter all the way from the North Pole. Our class advent Calendar has been filled with random acts of kindness for us to carry out in the countdown to Christmas Day. 🎅🥰

A black and grey/silver boys jacket was lost last Friday. It has a name on the label. If you have a jacket that matches this description at home can you please check that you have the correct one. Many thanks 😊

This week’s Star Award goes to April for being kind and caring to others. Kindness is one of our Drakies school values which we have been talking a lot about lately. Well done April, very well deserved. 😊
